I disagree with almost all of these rules. Maybe it’s because I’m partial to names like, you may have guessed, Artemis or Xavier. Or maybe I’m just a closet hipster.
I agree that most of the rules are laughable especially number two; however, in my experience being named after a goddess is awesome!! I once met a mythology lover during my internship at a support group for teens with personality disorders near my uni and she couldn’t remember which of the deities I was named after so she just called me Moon.
I really want to name my future daughter another moon goddess (e.g. Luna) but Wayne thinks that sounds a little “too hippy” which is nothing considering that I could really go the distance and name [one of our future daughters] Nemeia, so >:-P to him. But then again, I too could be a closeted hipster - I do blog, use Zipcar, and shop at my local grocer. Oh the omens are so blinding with their truth!
