Say What?! Karaoke on MTV.
Now all I need is a clip of “The Cut” with host Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopez.

Apparently, it’s just me who hears it.
I have a tendency to listen to jazz on Pandora while studying. It’s pleasant to my ears, I don’t get distracted by lyrics, and [apparently] my Haruki Murakami collection has subliminally influenced my music tastes.
Tonight, Gordon James’ song “Sunshine” came on and all I could hear was an instrumental version of TLC’s “Red Light Special”.
I replayed the song for Wayne after my study session and he doesn’t hear it.
Is it just me?

Blue Lagoon Waterslides
As I mentioned on one of my other entries, there was a very small waterpark in the next town over that my elementary school frequented as [it], the local bowling alley (defunct and demolished), and the local skating rink (defunct) were the few venues nearby that didn’t cost an arm and a leg to go to.

Blue Lagoon was off of Pena Adobe Rd (38.33615,-122.016086) and is defunct; however, if you Google it you still get phone numbers and an active address.
The same thing happened while we were at Disneyworld and we’d walk by Venturella.

That was still listed as taking reservations starting at $176/night.
Anyway, I really just wanted to give a bit more history behind Blue Lagoon but also wanted to let you all know that if you’re looking to go there it is very much closed (as is Venturella).

laughing Luna. :-P
Oops
I was trying to describe “So Weird” to Wayne. I said the woman in the Aerosmith short film (Illeana Douglas) was in it. I was wrong; apparently, I think her and MacKenzie Phillips are interchangeable. Oh well! :P

Pop Up Video of the Day: Pop Up Video officially returns to TV next month after a nine-year hiatus, but VH1 is already getting things going by dropping a few web-exclusive videos early, starting with “Till The World Ends” by Britney Spears.
The show’s official website will (eventually) allow readers to annotate a selection of videos with their own “pops.”
Pop Up Video is set to premiere October 3rd @ Noon/11c.
I’m very close to squealing! I used to love this show.
